Default Question about starting online business

Just wondering how difficult it is to do it? And how someone goes about obtaining products at wholesale prices. I am in college right now and was just trying to get something going so I could make about $1500-$2000 a month or so. I just have no idea where to begin. Any insight whould be much appreciated.

Go visit SCORE or SBA to get free small business counseling.

If I were you, I'd consider offering a service rather than trying to sell something. Most of that wholesale->retail stuff is crap, but there's still alot of money to be made in offering services (tutoring, translations, whatever) online. The large margins/markup allow you to advertise via PPC and pretty much avoid all barriers to entry.

Ya, stay away from selling products. If you have an expertise at something, you should sell information/services.

What are you good at? What do you know how to do that not many people know how to do? What are you passionate about? If you could talk about one thing with someone at a party, what would that one thing be?

Questions like that should get your mind rolling.

This is spot on. The goal is to use the internet to run a company that has almost no employees and as passive income as possible.

I'm working on several web projects - feel free to PM me or IM me (AIM name = z28dreams) with any questions.
