kyleb,

Great price on the bet...

But where do you come up with twice as bad as an average team has a 1 in 32 chance?

Half the wins of a avg NL team is what... 35?

Yaaaaaus ship the 50:1 bet I have on the DBacks to win the NLCS

[/ QUOTE ]

What have the odds changed to now that RJ is on their team? 49-1? I think you are getting way too excited over this. lol

[/ QUOTE ]

Math; it's not for everyone!

[/ QUOTE ]

Neither is a 43-1/2 year old pitcher with a 90 mph fastball, 18 year old daughter, and ERA of 5.

[/ QUOTE ]

PHB, how can you hate on so much a pitcher that's a "winner"??

He had the third most wins in baseball last year!

Please don't respond to this post with anything absurdly hypocritical.

Please look at his peripherals and the luck factor that went into the 5 ERA. If you believe in math, that is.

Thanks. I slammed a fair amount at the Venetian on them, along with a few other good futures bets.

I just made the Diamondbacks twice as bad as a regular NL team - even if that was true, the bet would still have very good overlay.

kyleb,

I'm just hating on you cause for someone who is better than I am at math/statistics and ripping on someone else's bad math... using the phrase "twice as bad" is just kinda funny.

From what I can see... And I don't see many lines... 50-1 is off... by well... a ton. Even though Dbacks are probably ~3rd best team in their division.

Note: Clear out your PMs too.

Well, I want to emphasize that the NL is very, very bad. prohornblower gets mad when I do, because for some reason, he thinks the NL Central is a great division (lolz).

Yeah, I saw a lot of 40:1 at places and almost took it, but then found 50:1 at Venetian along with a bunch of other ridiculous lines and was very happy that I waited.

Well I think I'm excited... the Dbacks have a chance at having an above average rotation in one of the worst divisions in baseball.

1. Webb
2. Johnson
3. Hernandez
4. Davis

Who knows, maybe Livan's knee will hold up and Randy's back won't fall off.
