Comments on this hand? Preflop especially?
Pretty standard blind steal I think but then button calls, and shortie pushes and I'm in a sticky position. I thought about repopping but decided against it.

I fold this hand preflop especially in MP. I definitely wouldn't repop that preflop into the button who has you covered. What would you do if you do raise and the button shoves? You certainly wouldn't want to risk your tourney life on QTo AIPF, yet you would've invested ~11BB (3 for your raise, another ~3 for the call, and say ~5 for the raise.) I think to avoid this situation just fold pre.

I'm not 100% about my math, but if a blind steal succeeds 62% of the time there, it's ev+ purely on that basis.

But, what about the times that this happens. IMO I wouldn't try to steal blinds from MP. Just my personal playing style. Not sure of the results from the hand but if you lost then you lost 10bb by trying to pick up 1.5BB.

Edit: Not trying to be results oreinted. Just saying that I think with a short stacked BB you will run into these situations more often than not.
