I have $1,XXX at pokerstars - what should I do?
It would seem that all the sites offering Poker to the U.S. are shutting down one by one. Anyway, I have over a grand in my Stars account. Should I be worried about not getting this money? Should I withdraw now?

Your money is perfectly safe at Stars. Even if they do cut off the US, something that we HAVE NO INDICATION OF, they will never take your money. Their games are however incredibly rigged and you may end up losing all of it.

They're not rigged but you'll go insane thinking that they're rigged.

[/ QUOTE ] None of the other poker/gaming sites that have closed have kept anyone's money (to my knowledge). Only Neteller is a problem. Have no fear OP. |

I suggest you figure out how many hundreds, tens, and ones you have, since you'll never know if you got the correct amount once you get your money.

Re: I have $1,XXX at pokerstars - what should I do?
I don't speak with any authority on the future of Stars in the US, but if you think about it like the risk of any investment, it might help.
Do you need this $1000+ any time soon? Would you miss it if it you lost it? If the answer is yes, then you might want to reduce your exposure by taking SOME of it out, assuming you want to keep playing. If you can deal with having it tied up indefinitely (for example, Neteller), then leave it alone. Also, balance the hassle of losing the $ with the hassle of finding a way to reload if you still want to play. I play for entertainment, and am trying to build a bankroll. I'm leaving a chunk of my bankroll on stars so that I can continue to play, without having to worry about how to reload. If it went away, I would be upset, but it wouldn't hurt me significantly. This is my bankroll, and is completely separate from all other financial accounts. Just my $.02, Kindling |
