Default Cbet? Turnbet?

If anyone wants to argue about cbetting the flop, you're welcome. But I am struggling with the turn in the first place. I see arguments for betting, and i see arguments against it. As a result i dont know what to do. Sorry if this is too basic.

Villain is 50/5/0,9, a bad player but not absolutely terrible. He'll often be too passive, sometimes be out of line with second best hands or bluffy when the pot gets big. But he will not pay off everything every time.

CO is 40/13/1,1, BU is 29/19/2,3, strong player

$15/$30 5-handed

Hero UTG with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero opens, CO calls, BU calls, SB folds, BB calls.

Flop 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

BB checks, Hero bets, 2 fold, BB calls.

Turn 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

BB checks, Hero?

Your formatting is driving me insane. For those of us with simple minds please say that villain is BB if you are referring to him as BB everywhere else in the post.

I bet the turn because villain is awful and could have called just because nobody else did and he feels like floating. Check behind on the river.

I'd say it's a clear check.

I'd also like the check and then check/call unimproved. With a 50/5 guy, I think there are too many times he is going to C/R with air or draw to make it worth it to bet out here.. even if a little passive.

With that low of an agression factor I'm pretty sure you're toast if you get c/r so you can easily b/f. If you're going to call the river anyway you're putting in 1 more bb on this hand. IMO the turn is definitely the correct place to use this because your opponent is awful. He will float the flop with a lot of hands. Why give him a chance to catch a pair to win?
