Ok, what's the plan from there if you take that route?

Does villain call or raise? Raise, I could see a fold or a call and call down. Call, and he checks turn bet (for value from weak overpairs), he bets 2/3-pot call down, he bets less I'm raising for value but will fold to a 3 bet.

I don't know if any of this makes sense but I believe it.

I think I would raise to 7 and re-evaluate. That 2.50 could be a small overpair (99,etc) , a club draw, or some garbage such as A7. You have to find out where you are and just calling this allows people to draw for way too cheap AND you still have no clue where you are. I would fold to a big re-raise though.

Re-raise to 7.50. What are you afraid of? Him having a set? Doubtful he's competent enough to bet out with one. I'd probably fold to anyone else's over the top re-raise on the flop though.

And plan ?

Well ... if call bet turn, and if there is anything left, then bet river

Couldn't I get information by just calling? If someone raises behind me (well, except button because he's so short), I could fold. If villain bets the turn, I think I can fold, especially if there's another call behind me.

I did in fact end up calling. I figured BB either had a set, or an overpair like 88/99 trying to "find out where he was at". So, against him I figured I was way ahead or way behind. I wasn't worried about button, he didn't have that much left so pricing him out wasn't as important as trying to close the betting and see the next street. SB was really my only concern. He checked, so I was banking on him folding instead of causing more trouble. Button called, SB did in fact fold. Turn was the T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and BB led again, this time for $6 into $11.5. I struggled with it, but I decided to fold. I didn't think he leads here again if he has 88 or 99. Button of course called all-in and after the blank river I got to see BBs flopped set of deuces take down the pot.

Nice hand. His aggression factor is very low. If he is betting out to you he either has a set or a small over pair. I would rather control the size of the pot here.
