Re: Anybody Play at Pacific????
dont do it. it constantly freezes, unexplained transfers of money can go in and out of your account randomly, and you will get called down by the whole table and have your hands cracked to [censored]

Re: Anybody Play at Pacific????
Surprising how many complain about the beats there. I am not one to complain about getting rivered or out flopped, even if it goes on for quite a while. But it was so consistent and brutal that I got a little gun shy myself. Don't install the software unless you want to test fate.

"Surprising how many complain about the beats there."
I polled the forum a year ago and the consensus was that Pac had the softest games and many were not making such a great rate there. I know I wasn't. I'm reasonably convinced they are floating the new and/or weak players a little at my expense. Good luck to you, it's all yours. |

Re: Anybody Play at Pacific????
Pacific floated on the UK stock exchange and as such it is slighly more accountable than other sites, so I doubt they are rigging the games.

Re: Anybody Play at Pacific????
You probably feel like there are more suckouts because more players see flops. I am constantly getting 3 callers for my AA when they have absolute crap like 87o. With three callers though, its going to be often that one of them hits his two pair or trips.

No, I just wasn't making much money given the fishyness of the games. Others concur.

You're suggesting that a publicly traded company is somehow blessed and pure? I'm still laughing. You want a list of public crooks?

Re: Anybody Play at Pacific????
Your swings will be extreme on that site. I played the 2/4 full 3 years ago and left because of the extreme swings. On some tables I literally remember 8 or 9 players cold calling an under the gun raise from a rock. Then it would be 6 to the river. The games played similar to wild Friday night 2/4 or 3/6 games when the drunk AA/GA addicts would hit the local casinos with their cheques and lose it that night. I actually started playing their unofficial short tables so that my big hands would hold up more.. Re: Anybody Play at Pacific????
You guys: hand values are dynamic (i.e., they change depending on the situation).
AA and KK, etc. are not the "best" hands all the time. They are the best hands, yes, but in some situations they are crap (i.e., they don't play well multi-way when 6 opponents go to the river with you) Playing on Pacific is wild, but you can make money there (wait, their rake is huge ($4 a pot), they rake uncalled bets, their software is slow and choppy (with disconnects!) when you SINGLE table (now (after the update), you have to keep their lobby open when you single table and if you add tables, forget it! You are guaranteed to get hands auto. folded/time-out and deal with disconnects!)...so let me re-phrase: You COULD (USED TO BE ABLE TO) make money there, now it totally sucks. Pacific WAS nice when they only let you single table. Oh, and now the winning players/sharks are all playing 3 tables and basically destroying all the profitable games. WSEX has 100% rake-back for everyone. Pacific has the largest rake ($4 a pot) and the worst software on the net. You decide where you want to play. |
