i found myself in the same situation as you a couple days ago. i ended up getting the RAZR for free. i like it.

my sister got the chocolate phone. that's a better choice though you would have to pay 50 bucks with your coupon, 30 for memory and 30 for some music installation software.

I do customer service for Cingular, Razr's are [censored]. I get a about a dozen calls a week from people that have had multiple Razr's. The low end nokia's seem to be a bit "meh" aswell. A top end Samsung or Nokia should do well.

Switch to Sprint. Warning brag post:

For $100 they're sending me a phone with better battery life than the razr, a better camera than the razr, a microSD slot expandable up to 1 gb, video/mp3 player, bluetooth, and oh did I mention I can get high-speed internet on my laptop from anywhere?

I have a razr and it is fine. I am not a cellphone snob nor do I care if I have a phone that lots of other people have. I needed a new phone, when I bought it, it was $25 after my re-up of contract and rebates and all that. The reception is fine, and I have had no problem with the battery. All that other ish I dont care about.

I have one of the first generation RAZRs and my biggest complaint is that it's slow as [censored] ... takes a couple of seconds from the time you hit Menu to the time it comes up ... I've heard you can do a firmware upgrade and it runs faster, but I haven't done this yet ... what the first person said, about everyone who has one hates it, it's true ...
