lol at all these responses saying call w/o giving any plan of action for the river.

i dont remember what a 40/12/2 plays like so i cant offer much advice based on those stats.

villain is going to have it more often in this spot because the ace isn't a diamond and he can have a straight or a flush. with a solid read i muck, but my standard line wouldnt let me muck b/c i'd lead the turn for the size of the pot and then be pot stuck if he raised, but it makes for an easier decision and can't really be faulted b/c the pot is of decent size and that's a card that makes a ton of draws possible.

so, pot the turn, stack off, fill up, profit.

Leading the turn here seems horrible to me. Flushes and straights are shoving and the rest are folding. What am i missing?

You are missing that loads of hands call, especially from a 40/12. You think he'd fold an ace with a decent diamond, for instance?
