Default 10/20 River CRAI bluff

Villain is gaucho, solid tag. My thinking at the time was that he was really really unlikely to have better than an overpair but that my c/r can believably be straights/flushes/sets/2pairs so he's probably gonna fold. What do you think?

I don't think your c/r can be a hand worse than a straight here (for value), but I still think it's okay. Your image is much more important than his.

Very good, especially since you have the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

i fail to see how having the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] is relevant.

OP,

how come you didn't lead the turn?

Um... because he knows villain doesn't have nut flush. I don't really like this play though.

solid tag villain just calls the flop bet and then checks behind the turn with the nut flush here? and if he does do that he doesn't do it with the second nuts?

in a word, yes

checking behind on that turn occasionally (def not often) with the nut flush is good for balance, doing it with the nonnut flush is very dangerous.

but having the As wasn't key in my decision to bluff river
