Im not sittng here stacking off with AK on an A Q 9 board

Just noticed this .. and WTF ???????????????????

It all depends on villians, but stacking of with AK is perfectly legit.

If you potcontrol all our non 2pair+ set whatever hands, then you are on your way to the poor house, you win half stacks when ahead and lose full stack when behind,

As said by me recently in the brew, the biggest 2+2 induced leak is taking the small hand small pot big hand big pot advice to a too big degree.

Potcontrol is all very well, but if you have a villian that will stack of with Ax, then you are going broke always with AK hitting TPTK.

I pot control like crazy all the time, but that can be TJs hitting tpmehk or hell J5s hitting TPNK or middle pair.

BUT ... taking pride in not staking of with AK hitting an A without further reads at 25NL is not optimal

Gelford I think you're a genius.

God, what a horrible session. 3k hands, think I lost $5. I was down a few buyins though, so that's decent. But before that I was running insane at 15bb/100 over 7k or so, nice dose of reality tonight

Hey all, just played my first session under my new $500 stake last night, I guess you can say I ran rather well or I was just against a bunch of monkeys at $25 NL last night.. but managed to have basically a 11 buyin upswing in 1900 hands..

Here is also the biggest pot I've ever had at $25 NL on stars, since I don't play much at that limit anyways. Feel free to berate me on how I played the flop set out of position against the bigger stack (i.e., calling short stacks all in instead of raising on flush draw flop, but had a read that this guy loves to raise his big aces to try and protect them at any time) Turns out it is the same exact hand and almost exactly the same # of BB's as my biggest pot I had at $50 NL a week ago! 99 is now my new favorite hand on stars lol.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter

BB ($6.50)
UTG ($15.80)
Hero ($62.50)
CO ($104.90)
Button ($24.65)
SB ($30.25)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises to $1, CO raises to $3, 2 folds, BB calls $2.75, Hero calls $2.

Flop: ($9.10) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB bets $3.5 (All-In), Hero calls $3.50, CO raises to $13, Hero raises to $32, CO raises to $51, Hero raises to $88, CO calls $8.50.

Turn: ($160.10) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($160.10) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $160.10

Results in white below:
BB has 5h 9s (one pair, nines).
Hero has 9d 9h (three of a kind, nines).
CO has Ac Kc (one pair, aces).
Outcome: Hero wins $160.10.

preflop tendencies on stars nl50 player "soldatti" plz.

[/ QUOTE ]

Soldati is the ubernit. Basically you can lump him into the same category as piscogay. If one of those 2 raises and I don't have at least kings, it's time to dip. They will not play with you postflop unless they hit a set, or flop a flush or some [censored] like that. There's almost no money to be made from either one, other than stealing their blinds 24/7, because they'll fold most of them. Soldati protects his blinds a bit more than piscogay - he'll 3bet ya every once in a while. But yeah, nit.

[/ QUOTE ]

thanks mook, this info is very helpful to me. i play u alot i think ur smokelm right?

i notice u seem to have a high preflop raise percent and don't seem to stack light that's all i know about u.

I'd like to create a poker-related website, hope to score some cash with it.
Anyone got some good ideas?
