Wow the last 20 posts in this thread are really dumb.
We are currently living in a golden age of TV which has been caused by an increase in channels this has led to the middle and bottom of TV quality expanding, but the top increasing as well. It is easy to ignore the bottom, but people still watch it because most people are stupid, however the influx in really good TV is awesome for people who enjoy the medium. As for the Office the US version is better solely because they have more episodes, which leads to more rewatchability and better devel Zopment of minor characters such as Stanley, Creed, etc. Office and Lost are very different I would advise you watch both, but since the new season of The Office is starting sooner, I would start with that. |

You're much better off watching the entire Sopranos series on DVD than watching the vast, vast majority of new release movies at Blockbuster. For a lot of the shows you're specifically talking about though you might be correct. What do you with your free time? |

The Office (UK) = Original = Awesome The Office (US) = Re-make = Very mediocre [/ QUOTE ] im really surprised everytime someone says this. the acting isnt as good on the UK version, half the jokes are UK based and I dont know what they are referring too, and its also really hard to hear what some of them are saying. yet even without these factors it isnt as good. the UK version is less in length than season 2 of the US version. any show can be funny for 1 season. the US version has been funny for almost 3 times as long, and season 3 was hilarious. my roommate agrees with me i guess no one else does? i just dont get how you can call it mediocre. my rankings would go UK = good, US = great. |

[/ QUOTE ] the vast majority of my tv watching time is while playing poker (when i'm in front of a screen anyway) or while travelling (when my alternative productive opportunities are very limited) also, watching recorded stuff means you can reduce your viewing time by around 25% simply by skipping the tv advertisements. |

[/ QUOTE ] IMO UK season 1 >> US season 1 However, season 2 and 3 of Office (US) give the American Office more depth, and therefore, make it a better overall show. |
