Re: $16 - J8s vs solid regular
I think the problem with raising here is that C-betting is going to take more of your stack than you'd like it to and you can get yourself into trouble.
I used to raise a lot in this situation, but i mostly just complete now because a lot of the time C-betting when he called a raise is going to cost too much. I'm not sure what the 'correct' play is PF but i learned a lot from Daniel Negreanu and the way passive doesn't always = bad. Post-flop isn't clear either way imo. |

Re: $16 - J8s vs solid regular
good turn bet, i m pretty sure he will lay down any hand without a flush (maybe even a small flush) here which makes the bet +ev.
flop is also ok i think, decent risk to get overshoved by a flush draw or anything else that hit the board would make this a bad bet oop imo. |

Re: $16 - J8s vs solid regular
if bb plays decent and aggressive from the bb i would tend to fold this preflop.

Re: $16 - J8s vs solid regular
I like the delayed cbet here, he would have had to defend his BB with a weakish hand in order to have a high heart and not bet the flop I think (so like not KxTh).

[ QUOTE ] What solid reg is 19/13? Seems pretty loose for a solid reg. I might complete pf but I'm done with the hand after the flop as played. c/f [/ QUOTE ] What stats has a solid reg in your experience then? [/ QUOTE ] A bit less, maybe 16/12ish. |
