I'm not at all surprised. I bought tickets for a Thursday midnight showing at like 7pm on Wednesday. At 3pm Thursday I checked because I had a few more friends who wanted to come, it was sold out. At 4pm the theater added another showing. At 7pm that was sold out.

Saw the movie yesterday and enjoyed it.

I nodded off for a good part of it. I got dragged along to the theater even though I was dead tired. I enjoyed a lot of it.

strangely, I was the only one in the theater audibly laughing.

It reminded me of the Beavis and Butthead, where Beavis pulls live worms out of his pocket to regurgitate to save teh baby bird.

"Beavis, why do you have worms in your pocket?"

Just got back from the movie...it was nothing short of terrible. The idiot next to me had to cover his mouth because he was laughing so hard, so I guess some people loved it. I should add that I think the show became unwatchable about five years ago, so I'm no diehard Simpsons fan. Still, it was borderline unwatchable, and I felt like I was at a kids' movie.

I'm a diehard, but only for up to season 12 or so. It had some moments, but I didn't find it funny overall. The first fifteen minutes were solid, but they have just made Homer into a complete idiot. There were jokes here and there that elicited a chortle from me, but my gf fell asleep halfway through it. A lot of people were laughing at parts I thought were very meh.

The animation was great, though.

I saw it, not a huge Simpsons fan, though, when I'd watch it, I think I enjoyed it etc. Overall thought it was pretty solid, beginning started out really funny. not bad
