Trivium - The Crusade

Wow a huge change in sound I was expecting Acendancy mk II, instead we get a late 80's thrash album.

Total change of vocal styles, sounds more like Chuck Billy on the 90's Testament albums, with a Hetfield influence, as well as some clean vocals.

Masses of huge riffs but still not sure the song writing is very strong, although the 2nd half of the album improves and the closer instrumental Crusade is pretty immense.

Not sure what their fanbase is going to think of it but for me a 30 somthing who grew up on thrash is a decent album.

Need a few more listens to really deceide on it as its so not what I expected.
