I like the two quarters in the pic -- "Heads" = $5, "Tails" =$1.

I'll do some research and post some info on minichips.

I found cheap, nickle-size (7/8") plastic chips at

http://www.greathallgames.com/aacc/a...hipsDrops.html

I was hoping to find chips with a little more size and weight to them (and edgespots), but it looks like there aren't any.

I want to play in your game. Cashouts would be fun. Look at all the '$5' chips I have.

Check this out:

Supposedly, these are clay-composite, nickle-sized chips with edge spots.

Thanks to JTQuest on Homepokertourney.com for the find!

It's on my Christmas wish list, thanks for the link.

For a really small, lightweight chip set, use a second deck of cards (pretend like they are those cool "plaques" you see on the European tourneys). The denominations on the cards can be useful in determining the value of the "plaques". Aces= $25, Face Cards = $5, all others = $1?

Damnit, I felt compelled to buy that mini chip set, as well as the Civil War era card design.

If anyone was interested in this, I decided it works especially well if you add 2 jokers in at $2 each. This breakdown gets you 2 $100 buy-ins for each deck and gives each player 27 "plaques" to play with. Of course if you want a $10 buy-in or $1000 buy-in just divide or multiply my suggested denominations. Of course for a a ten-handed table you would need 5! extra decks, but it could work, and it's better than playing Rummy 500.

Aces = $25, Face Cards = $5, Jokers = $2, All others = $1

Neat idea with the cards as chips, but please don't
ever imply those Euro-plaques are anything but
retarded.

I believe they're called "flags", and I like 'em. I wish they used those instead of bricks on HSP.
