I like a turn c/c because that turn is scary as [censored] and you cant stand a raise usually.

edit: I think crai on the turn is pretty spewy. He is not gonna fold a better hand, so it would have to be for value, and I dunno what worse hands he will call with besides maybe big draws or pair/draw combos.

Also Goofyballer is aptly named, he is indeed a rather goofy baller.

I don't get all of the hate for a turn c/r. That would be my line at least half the time here. I really think people are being results oriented and/or vastly overestimating his range or underestimating our fe.

This is awesome board to float. Only knowing villains ranges and our equity/FE this is an awesome turn to crai.

Dude, what the hell is he going to fold that beats us? When is he ever calling with worse? What's the point of a turn checkraise except to just throw money in with a good draw for the hell of it?

Some of you guys really need to think about what you're saying. Regardless if it's a good flop to float (debatable, I'd much prefer bluff raising) or not, how is that relevant when we're talking about some nit who calls our flop c-bet in a multiway pot? You think he is floating us with some kind of crappy draw (gutshot, bottom pair, etc) or air? Even if he was, why the hell would you c/r as opposed to c/c?

I just want somebody to tell me why they think a c/r is good, in more than two sentences and with some actual reasoning involved.

If we think he is floating c/c turn gives him chance to fire second barrel w/ tons of scare cards. You dont think his range is ridic wide here w/connectedness of board for draws and pairs and fact that heroes flop bet looks like a weak feeler?

the only reason cr ai is good, is that you're guaranteed a payoff when you hit your flush or str8

Nits don't float.. they set-mine, slowplay, play group A/B hands and hope that nobody notices their nitiness. I used to do stuff for balance and such but now as Orange said, with the player pool so big, unless I have a lot of history it's unnecessary. Plus even if they do notice you can throw in a different play than your normal line like 10-20% of the time.. just enough so that they don't know exactly what you're doing.

In this hand, c/c seems fine against THIS player..

so I guess if we didn't pick up the big draw and turn is a blank, how many would c/f?
