How to improve my game?

I've been grinding out 1-2 for a while but don't really wanna be stuck doing this forever. I've been playing pretty nitty at 1-2 and it's good enough to win there but I know it won't allow me to move up at all. I wanna try to get really good at poker but don't really know how to go about doing it. I'm willing to put in the time but need some direction on the best ways of improving my game. All thoughts are welcome.

The #1 way to improve is to only play 4 tables (or less) WITHOUT PAHUD for a while. think deeply about every hand that you play, watch everyone else's play and try to put them on hands even when you're not in the pot. also, try doing this while playing a more lag style so that you're facing even more marginal decisions on a regular basis.
