Re: AK rivers top 2
Geez this spot sucks; no reads makes it really hard because I'm split on worse two pair like 89s, K-pair 4-fl. But I can't rule out black T7s or little set so I think you have to risk check thru and c-c. If he's inferior two pair it would be hard IMM to think the A did anything but give you one pair or just not help you so I think he bets and if you're ahead you get your 1 and if behind don't lose 2 on b-c.

Re: AK rivers top 2
I agree more w/ downrange. Hearts & 7's that semibluffed the turn aren't going to call a donk anyway & K's up are going to bet anyway; so w/ few exceptions leading only gives us value vs. Kx. Besides that I think he has a straight alot but i run bad.

Re: AK rivers top 2
Villian limps pre-flop, this says:
a) He doesn't have a strong enough hand to iso an utg limper b) He has a m/w hand c) He's just an idiot The only hands you are worried about are T7,57,and 66. You are going to pay these hands off occasionally. I think that the most likely scenario is semi bluff with a 7 and maybe 2 hearts. The river is a blank for him, so you should try to induce a bluff and plan to raise. If you lead on the river there are not a whole lot of hands he (should) call with. |

If you lead on the river there are not a whole lot of hands he (should) call with. [/ QUOTE ] Huh? Its an unknown 1/2 player who limped. What about K9, K8, K6, 98, 96, 86, KQ, KJ, KT? Thats is about 60-70 hands he either calls with or raises with. And then there is the combo hands like 87 or K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]x [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I want to bet b/c I dont want him checking behind the Kx hands and the combo hands with a heart or a straight draw that will check behind every know and then. |

Re: AK rivers top 2
i don't c/r because i don't want to whiff. I want 2 bets in here so i bet/call.
Against some players I 3-bet the turn. Sheesh. |
