Default $100NL JJ 3bet pot

Button is 25/15/3 attempt to steal 40% from 300 mined hands. No history. I have just sat down.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

Hero (SB): $97.50
BB: $93.15
UTG: $73.00
MP: $207.55
CO: $125.90
BTN: $98.50

Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players)
3 folds, BTN raises to $4.00, Hero raises to $14.00, BB folds, BTN calls $10.00

Flop: ($29) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $23.00, BTN calls $23.00

Turn: ($75) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, BTN bets all-in for $61.50, Hero calls all-in for $60.50
Uncalled bet of $1.00 returned to BTN

River: ($196) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players - 2 All-In)

Pot Size: $196.00 ($3 Rake)

looks like QQ+ or a bluff, if it's a bluff over 30% of the time you are +EV but I think it's very close

I would expect to be shown QQ here most of the time

IMO, this looks SO much like QQ. another possibility that hasn't been mentioned is a set? But QQ is so likely here IMO.

I was thinking QQ+ makes a pretty large part of his range, but I can't see any other line I could have taken which would be better.

Technically if u are checking with the intention of calling any bets you will get more value by simply shoving first.U have no reads and at 0.5/1 nl i often see lag wanabee showing 76suited or T9s in that spot.

I don't really agree because when he calls when you shove you'e going to be ahead less than when you check and he shoves imo because he'll fold a lot with medium made hands like a T and stuff but prob turn them into a crazy value shove if you check.

As for the hand, I think it's good.

Important to know if there as been any history. AS played villain calling your turn bet stinks of trap.

I doubt a 25/15 is much of a lag wannabe whos gonna be overplaying suited connectors here.

I don't see how our aggressive villains calling range is bigger than his betting range here

I know you just sat down with him, but if you're checking the turn here, you're inducing a bluff enough to justify a call.
