I have to jump in here. What you witnessed was a theft. It had nothing to do about poker. PLEASE SPEAK UP!!!

[ QUOTE ]
It could also be a legitimate mistake from the guy that allegedly stole too,

[/ QUOTE ]

There is a 0% chance it was a legitimate mistake from the 5 seat (picking up the chips without noticing there was one too many), and a 100% chance it was a legitimate mistake from the 6 seat.

"Amigo, you owe him another 5 red.
I am sure it was just an oversight on your part.
Unless you think he was tipping you a green for your service."

Hey Doc,

Its the med student who went on a heater yesterday morning. It was a pleasure playing with you the past couple of days. Anyway, I like dynasty's approach. You protect the integrity of the game while minimizing the risk of making an enemy.

You'll have to give me a hint as to which regular this is.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sorry, don't remember you in particular. You might have me confused with the thin older guy that goes by "Doc" in that game. Were you on table 12? I arrived around 8:30 sat night and left by 3:00am.

I was on table 12 from 1-3, and then table 13 from then on. I guess it wasn't you, cause I was playing with the other "doc" at table 13. He's a neuro surgeon. Are you the ER doctor?

i don't know how you can not say something.

maybe it's not +EV, but the fact that you're posting means that you know it was wrong.

you can easily point this out in a non-confrontational way

You're really overthinking this.

[ QUOTE ]
At the same time, he's involved in probably 60% of hands and I'd rather not have him making revenge plays at me when we're in a pot together.

[/ QUOTE ]

What the hell is a 'revenge play'? Let's say he did start making moves on you, it really isn't that hard to adjust to that. Screw him.

[ QUOTE ]
Then there's the added angle of him being there constantly and presumably having extra sway with the dealers and floorpeople. I could envision a situation where this could also come back to hurt me if the player in question was really determined to exact some sort of revenge.

[/ QUOTE ]

You're evnisioning a fantasy.

If this is the type of person that this place caters to, I wouldn't be a customer in there too much on a regular basis and really wouldn't expect it to stay open too long. Especially if anyone that worked there, floor or dealer, held it against you for calling him out or just speaking up. Very doubtful that that will happen. Very unlikely that a theif is going to have a better reputation than someone who's looking out for the game.

Just because someone is there constantly doesn't mean the floor or anyone there really cares for them. You might be suprised that many might actually want him gone. There are many in my room that have been regulars for years and dealers/floor can't stand them.
