Default about Equity

Do you calculate the equity until the turn and then again reevaluate the turn action, or do you calculate it till the river and 'ignore' the turn?

do you 'ignore' turn for the right pot odds?

Seems like what you are really asking is; Is it ever correct to fold your hand on the turn?

The answer is, Yes!

You know thats not what I asked.

I should have written on the subject "The Turn is my problem",because I still not sure of what to do in the turn.

to make it more visible ill go with this simple example:

you dealt QJhh, 1 more player to the flop.
Th 9h 4c
now your equity is ~75%
But probably you are playing with a rational player which might bet/call with any of those-
77+,AcKc,AdKd,AhKh,AJs,KcQc,KdQd,KhQh,KJs,QJs,J9s+ ,J7s,T7s,98s,9s7s,8s7s,7s6s,6s5s,5s4s,AKo,AJo,KJo+ ,QJo,J9o+,J7o,T7o
and drops the equity a bit over 58%.
yet still positive eq.

Then the turn come with 3d.
your eq against random hand is ~59%,
but your eq against one of the above hand is ~33%.

So how you judge what to do, math wise?

did I do mistake calculating the equity to the river, should I do it till the turn & always "seek" for the worst case scenerio?

You need to incorporate some folding equity into your math. Sometimes you will miss but a bet will still win the pot for you. This is oponnent specific just like your assumptions of what hands he might play against you.

Also this all changes depending if you are playing limit or no limit. In a limit game with an openended straight flush draw and being heads up I would never fold the turn. In N/L depending on both the pot odds and future implied odds I might fold against an oversized turn bet quite often.

Jimbo

btw, you are still basically asking if it is ever correct to fold the turn or at least you should be.
