What about holding a 2+2 tournament in a AC? My understanding is that Taj (and Showboat, too?) will accommodate private tournaments. I have no idea what they might charge for holding a private tourny, but that could be an interesting way to get together for those in the area.

You'd have no problem getting most casinos to host an event like that and provide dealers - they'd go for an X+30 buy in at most houses and set you up in a ballroom to play if you have enough people to show up.

to clarify - this is not a 2+2 authorized activity, therefore it cannot be a 2+2 party or a 2+2 tourny. You can however say its a party for 2+2'ers, or a tourny for 2+2'ers. I know its semantics, but its a concern for Mason.

[/ QUOTE ] I would suggest to nineinchal that he come up with an alternate name, such as the Magoofest that has been put on in Vegas a couple of times (Al Capone where are you these days???). nineinchal, if you organize something on a weekend when I'm not travelling for work, I would certainly be up for a bit of poker stupidity, a la the Magoofest 2/4 game with $10,000 on the table:
