Default Turn Top Pair into a bluff?

villain is crying. Earlier in the night i stacked him 2x playing 3-4 handed in situations i thought he played rather poorly. Anyways, we ended up playing a bit HU. He was tilting at first but ran red hot and i eventually quit him. This is probably 1.5 hrs after i quit him we started playing again. He can be somewhat laggy at times, but we've both been relatively in line so far

This is the kind of thing I try all the time and it never, ever, ever works. EVER. If he folded you had him beat anyways.

i try this a lot HU (not bluffing with top pair, but bluffing at a 4 tone board), and opponents who play like described call me down w/ pretty much any club here.

however, in theory doing this still makes sense to me. i'm sometimes just bad at figuring out how often ppl will fold.

I would bet a little less, since 500 feels like too much with pretty much any legit hand.

In theory I think this is fine but against the player you describe he's calling any club.

What do you all think about a flop 3-bet, with intentions of getting it all-in? I think that's what I would do the majority of the time.
