A person who has just been fired poses a significant security risk to the electronic data that the Company depends on. Sometimes covering your behind is actually the correct thing to do!

As the IT Director of my Company, I can tell you that it would be me worrying about his job if someone we just fired without warning was able to get onto his PC ten minutes later.
