So every once in a while I make the horrible mistake of reading outside the Beginners forum and Omaha Hi and I just have to say that I have to wonder about the mental maturity of some of the posters. I know they are guys ( which limits them already) but it just gets plain rude, nasty, malicious, and stupid. I want to say something so badly but I hold my tounge so to speak. Who else can't stand it?

Don't see a problem if it warrents it. I do agree though that a simple post can cause many aggresive comments. Usually by people that can hide behind the annonymity of the cyber world. Such people probably wouldn't say boo to a goose if confronted in person.

It helps to have a thick skin and not to set your expectations too high. It's good to remember that you can ignore people. The reward for this can be some of the best public poker discussion available, where many solid winning players share their thoughts on how to beat the game.

By the way, if you want to see 2+2ers acting like intelligent adults more frequently, you may want to read El Diablo's General Discussion. There isn't much poker discussion there, though.

Sorry. You are right. It is just fustrating sometimes there is limitations on the comments I can make... whereas I feel there is absolutely ZERO limitations on all the things that the guys on here feel free to say. I am talking about it here because there are people like yourself who do agree with this... just venting I guess. I am not trying to belittle men in general. I apologize.

I know what you mean. I guess I'm used to it though from reading boards that have mostly guy posters and from playing poker (live). Some of the stuff is no different from what you'd hear at a poker table.

That said, I would never post in some of these places. Cuz I'm sensitive.

I know what you mean 2. I don't post there not because I don't have something to say but because I know I will be attacked. And prehaps it is good to have a thick skin but I know myself well enough to know I don't have it.

I am "used" to it too but its been a hard week and sometimes you just get tired of it in reality and here too.
