Default QJ Line Help 1/2 NL

Looking for some suggestions on my play. Flop raise ok or should I have smooth called? Turn check ok? Thanks.

9 players, B/M, $1/2 NL

BB is roughly 40/4/3
MP2 is 85/7/2

SB ($180)
BB ($650)
UTG ($225)
UTG +1 ($95)
MP1 ($125)
MP2 ($375)
MP3 ($1050)
CO ($100)
BTN HERO ($350)

Dealt to HERO Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

3 folds, MP2 raises to $30, CO folds, HERO calls $30, SB folds, BB calls $28

FLOP($88): Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] j [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
BB bets $50, MP2 calls $50, HERO raises to $150, BB folds, MP2 calls

TURN($438): J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
MP2 checks, HERO checks

RIVER($438): 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
MP2 checks, HERO bets $100, MP2 folds

HERO wins $438

You gotta bet that turn against a bad player--your goal is to build as big a pot as you possibly can, and I don't like relying on the river to do that.

Yeah um, the PFR had made it $100 to go BLIND two different times in this session. The PF call is a good one.

I do not agree on that, it's QJos! The flop call was only good because you hit the right flop and an even better turn...

no, actually it's not lol. i guess your plan was to fold any flop you didn't hit?

if he's opening that wide, i would 3/b shove here rather than call.

Not too much wrong with calling $30 pre with QJo.... as long as the blinds are $15/$30.

Against aggressive maniacs, you can afford to be patient at full-ring. I'd just wait for a much better spot.

Also, and you MAY be able to do something about this as you're playing live, you're not in the best seat. Against these type of players, you ideally want him on your immediate LEFT. This gives you relative position on each street.
