It just feels so weak mucking AQ on an A82r flop to a min raise.

Are we talking about a c/minraise, or just a min raise, because if its just a min raise it depends on the villian, but a check min raise is 85% of the time a hand that has us crushed.

Well we are talking about both, but I was saying that today I finally realized that c/minraise is the nuts. However, my next problem is what to do against an unknown opponent who makes a regular min raise. I know its read dependent, but so is everything else in poker. Assuming we dont have a read, what do we do when we have AQ/AJ, the flop comes A82r, or something like that. We make our standard c-bet from saying MP, and the CO min raises us? What makes this so difficult is I highly doubt most unknowns cold call with AK so we are afraid of sets and A8 and A2.

In the example you give I'm rarely folding AQ/AJ readless, this is often a weaker ace trying to find out where he is. I call and proceed from there, I guess the key is getting a read on someone's min-raising tendencies asap.

I'd probably reraise a min raise here.

I'd probably reminraise a min raise here.

I try to pay attention to what a minraise means from a certain person. It usually means either air or a pretty strong hand. A river minraise is always the nuts or close to it, from what I've seen.

Minraise isn't that annoying to me. They are always laying a good price when you were semibluffing. In most cases you just don't have anything and fold. When it's a close decision, well, it's cheaper right? You want them to bet more so you know to fold, sounds like the problem. Plus it kinds of clues you in that they aren't very good although this isn't always correct.

Minraisers preflop are not annoying at all IMO, I love that. Plz to be giving me good odds to call from BB. Thanks.

edit: I think I need to minraise more. Because I never do it. Clearly has to be a good move sometimes...
