Kudos to those who broke this open.

The pocket fives post ends: "Extremely Relieved, --Adam". I don't find this something to be relieved about. I was hoping for an innocent explanation. I am shocked. Now it looks like any poker site is at much higher risk to play at than was ever thought. Why couldn't happen again somewhere, but in a more surreptitious manner? UGH

In this email why did they refer to steamroller? Wouldn't the normal response have been "stom@fiducix.com belongs to the Absolute Poker Staff". Unless the $300 transfer referred to steamroller. Is this the case? For those who have not seen the original explanation of this email look here for happyhappyhappy post:

[/ QUOTE ]

Because the guy that contacted support was playing at the table with a guy named steamroller... And steamroller asked him to beta test a new client. He was following up with support to find out if steamroller was in fact an AP employee.

[/ QUOTE ]

So this seems to be incredibly damning evidence that Scott Tom is steamroller and no one is talking about this much? I guess everyone is focusing on the upcoming Absolute announcement.
I am still a little skeptical about the email as he asked ABS support about an email address not steamroller yet they replied referring to steamroller. Seems a bit odd.
Can the guy that posted original email clarify this?

[/ QUOTE ]

I believe he also asked about Steamroller since the guy who was sitting with him at a live table told him that's what his account was. AP verified that in the e-mail when he requested verification presumably to ensure that he wasn't getting scammed.

One person may have said it as a rumor and it just got picked up there. Doesn't necessarily make it true. I have asked the question many times and still havn't seen the direct quote from one of the most reliable guys.

I could be wrong here but, I htink everyone would want to know for sure.

[/ QUOTE ]

1. the guy is no longer with absolute
2. that could mean firing, quitting, retiring, etc.
3. we want to know which one

that is all

Steamroller is 100 percent confirmed as a cheater along the lines of Potripper.

Rothko is right- plenty of people are interested in that and will keep it alive.

They haven't released their statement yet, yet you are shocked? UGH?

Why dont you wait to see what they release? It may disclose all (I doubt it), or it may be very little of an admission... Either way you should wait to see what they confess too before you take a position on the outcome.

Is all this stuff done with? I just signed up at absolute, and didn't know any of this, lol. Just reading through some of the threads now.

[/ QUOTE ]

finish reading before you start playing.

[/ QUOTE ]

I plan to. Started playing already though. Had an extremely weird hand tonight that irks of this. Maybe I'm paranoid, lol.

Kahntrutahn/shaundeeb

care to elaborate on why you feel ap/ub were going to scam you because you were up too much?

[/ QUOTE ]

They seem a tad shady in the dealings I've had with the upper management regarding large sums of money. Though things seemingly improved a great deal 5 or 6 months ago after a great deal of bitching my way up the ladder.

Though they owe me a $200 dinner comp (no joke) that I can not get fixed because the email address of the security VP I had bounced back to me (when I tried to email him regarding this scandal a couple weeks ago). If anyone knows how to contact "Brent" from AP please PM me.
