Re: 25NL deepstack push line check
what stats have u got on villain?
against unknown: fold/raise preflop, call is bad OOP flop push isnt great IMO opponent is folding the worst hand or calling with a better hand. |

Re: 25NL deepstack push line check
24/18/2 over 70
i'm aware the preflop call wasn't great, just wondering about the push itself. If I just call, aren't I going to be facing a turn bet that I can't call UI? |

Re: 25NL deepstack push line check
I'm never flat calling in the BB here pre-flop. In fact i'm folding almost every time here unless he's taking too many liberties with my BB, then I re-raise to ~$3.50 pre-flop.
Why are you going all-in with bottom pair/crappy flush draw? I'd let it go after he came over the top on the flop the way this played out. |

Re: 25NL deepstack push line check
Fold PF, or maybe even raise, all the complications come from calling that crap on the BB.
I also do not love the flop push, its just too much of an overbet, and smells kind of strange, in his position I probably would be calling KQ+ but calling is kind of weak, so Im not really sure. Id say the best play is to raise and make it 15 or so, and then shove any river. That would scream a lot more strength IMO. If he shoves first we would have to call. |

Re: 25NL deepstack push line check
I fold pf and go for a c/r on the flop (and if I bet out I bet full pot on this flop).
The bet/allin line is ok I think like 44% equity against a range of JJ+, 77, AQs, KQs, QJs, AQo, KQo, QJo. But I'd prefer just calling since his raise indicates you don't have too much fe (you don't know if he'd fold TP2K ...). |

Re: 25NL deepstack push line check
meh pf isn't horrendous as long as it isn't a habit. as far as the push, i'd love it like 100x more if you had 100bb effective stacks instead of nearly 170.

Re: 25NL deepstack push line check
If you play well the flop then the preflop call is ok.
But if you call in this situation (PF) you should know what to do on the flop given the fact that you called his raise preflop. I will go with the c/r line. The raise should be big, to have good FE if he really has a hand that will fold to a raise. Say 5 his raise is good. If he shoves i will call because I have enough pot odds. If he just calls then he is a little bit scared so fire the turn no matter what card comes. I would expect a fold here from the villain. |

Re: 25NL deepstack push line check
would he fold a hand like AQ or overpair cause i doubt at this level that this would happen, but if you think he is good enough to lay down just a pair here it aint that bad a move
