Default Poker winnings more \"satisfying\" than income earned from other sources

Hey guys,

For the past three years I have been playing poker. I would consider myself an "average" player, capable of beating NL 200 and 5-10 limit over large samples.

Three years ago I started a construction company which has grown over 300% so far this year. I am making anywhere from 4000 to 10000 dollars a week.

However, even with my new income, I still find myself thinking about playing poker quite often, even though the likelihood of ever earning my current income level is quite low.

Every hour spent playing poker is one less hour spent on my business, so in essence it is costing me money, even when I am winning.

Yet I still read 2+2 an hour or so a day and fantasize about trips to Vegas and AC.

Is this normal?

Sigma
