50k HU Tourney

Potential structures:
1.Start with 50k in chips
2.100/200 blinds
3. Basically Double blinds every 17 hands (1/2, 250/5, 5/1, 1/2, 250/5, 5/10). Much more fair than timed levels.
4.Everyone plays everyone till bust (matches = num of entrants -1)
5.Guys with best record square off (if >2people tie, repeat step 4)

uh, these will be cash freezeouts because this is a cash forum.

there are a million options. if you get 12 you could do 4 groups of 3, round robin, first round. then winners of each group advance to semi-finals. or whatever. I guess we can address that issue when we have a final count on who wants to play.

At least let's see if anyone has any objections to 3x200bb until finals and then 5x200bb final. And random seeding/matching for whichever format we end up using.

And I have emails into both FTP and Stars asking to even just have an admin except 50K+juice transfers and then handle payouts at the end, as a bare minimum, but have not gotten any positive feedback yet. So if anyone has pull anywhere, please let me know.

twp, im in if its not some silly structure. i want to actually get some play out of this and get to play more than just 1 person. id like to wait until a structure is set up to decide if im in or not, but if its setup like some kinda round robin with top level advancing or whatever, where you get a lot of play out of this, im in.

sounds like 2 divisions, round robin style to determine each 2 final players per division could be interesting.

You can create a new account and xfer the money to play on that one, but I'd really appreciate it if you would PM me your normal name and the new one so I can send it to PS Support. I promise on my life not to reveal it to anyone, but it would help us get their help with the finances. Not sure what the vig will be, because they refuse to reveal ANY details to me until they finish their deliberations, but hopefully I will hear back soon. I am also in contact with FTP and am also thinking of backup plans.

Feel free to suggest a backup plan if you have a preference. As a last resort, I guess we would just have to get 4 escrow guys or something, but obviously no one would feel fully comfortable with someone holding 100K.
