After a couple of days in Montreal, you'll realize you're living in Canada's crapper.

Re: Canada in 3 days....
Please, Montreal [censored] rocks.
As far as nightlife: It really matters what you want to do while you're there: if you want to go to strippers/clubs/typical bars stay on St. Catherines and Bishop street. You'll have a good time, but you can do the same thing in any city. If you want something a little more typical, stay in Le Plateau neighbourhood and hang out on St. Denis, St. Laurent, and around there. Basically east of McGill (where the Alouettes play). Lots of sweet bars and some clubs too. Great shops and restaurants. Very European. The food in Monteral is outstanding. Outside of graet french bistro's and brasserie's, you have to get a montreal smoked meat sandwich. The most famouse is Schwartz on St. Laurent. Get the medium, cherry coke, and fries. Of course Poutine is another staple. don't have any suggestions on where specifically to get it, but you should while you're there. Drunken Schwarma is also a great recommendation. Did I mention that I love Montreal? |
