ya...we have at least 9 outs + FE. could have as many as 18 outs if he doesn't fold.

You're beating 7x and 8x on the river (both of which are possible), but aside from that are losing to everything except a complete flop float.

So I think the river fold is okay, and calling is not as bad as it appears but still is probably a losing play over the long run.

Meanwhile, I think the turn check is all right. That turn card gives you two draws (and maybe about a 33-40 percent chance of ending up with the best hand, since your A outs may be good and occasionally you'll already be holding the best hand). But the card most likely hurts your folding equity considerably, and I would hate to get raised here.
