checked back turn. what to do on the river?
9-handed 6/12 kill game currently a kill hand
kill is right behind the hero and acts last utg folds utg + 1 calls HERO raises (T Tc) sb calls bb folds kill folds flop Ac Qc 6c checked to hero HERO bets sb raises utg + 1 folds HERO calls turn Ac Qc 6c 4c sb checks HERO checks with the intention of... ...on the river.

if i get c/r on the turn im going to fold
if i bet and he doesnt have outs to improve hes just going to fold if i check back the turn maybe he'll bet into me on the river and i can raise/fold if he checks to me on the river i can bet and perhaps get a curiosity call

OK but you missed the other option; if he does have outs you miss a bet and you still may get a call on the river. It's also somewhat unlikely you get c/r, anyway the same bets are going in if you b/f the turn or call a river bet.

Not betting the turn seems weak. The turn card looks like it scared the small blind, so make him call you down. Any reads on his play would be helpful.

NH. Turn check with this type of holding is straight out of HPFAP. Dont remember which page though. About river. Do what bakku says.

the villian in this hand a few hands earlier said "go ahead"
usually when i hear this it means im gonna c/c your ass but with this guy it meant c/f just bet im done with it he said it again in this hand the first hand wasnt against me so i didnt want him to fold and i thought the only way i could get any value out of him was by checkin back that turn

Why didn't you bet the turn? [/ QUOTE ] b/c if he's ahead, he's rarely getting called. I'd rather induce a bluff, or induce a call on the river.
