Default Re: Liberty Dollar office raided

[ QUOTE ]
Why are people jumping to conclusions about the reasons behind this raid when it does not seem to be clear? Federal agents have claimed that the money and properties seized in the raid was linked to money laundering, mail fraud and wire fraud. If thats correct then I certainly dont see a problem with it.

I'm just curious, is the possible charge that people were using liberty dollars to commit money laundering or that the people involved at the actual liberty mint were engaged in money laundering? Isnt this what happened to e-gold too? Bad people were using the money and so the whole operation had to be shut down? Is this enough to shut down a minting operation, cause I dont see the government shutting down their own operations when they find people have laundered their bills.
