Default $25nl 2nd pair on two tone flop

villian is fairly solid running at about 33/17 over 100 hands

on the flop I'm thinkin if a heart falls I'll bet out at that, and if an 8 or 9 falls I'm good. is this at all logical?

bet turn after he checks? he could be on that flush draw so would it make sense to bet out on the river if I check behind and a heart hits?

on the river I feel that he bets out just in case I missed a flush draw... I figured him either for a busted flush draw or A high

33/17 isn't very solid imo.. rather loose and calling a lot.

Uhm.. well you could pick off a bluff, which honestly does seem kinda likely considering how he played the hand. If you think he's bluffing more than 20% of the time you have an easy call. I'd be worried he's bluffing with the best hand though, something like T's or J's.

I bet the turn when he checks. Kind of the only reason to call flop. But it's 3bet pot so I just fold mostly. Don't like this line with middle pair, something like QT and it's much better.

Anyone else fold this to the BB raise preflop?

Fold flop. With 89s we are looking for something better than middle pair.

Fire turn if you're gonna call flop, no reason to float without firing on the turn. As played fold river.

With about 120 bb effective stacks a call is fine in position.

I'd like to know postflop stats before I am calling here preflop. Usually I fold here preflop. I think playing 3bet pots with SC is starting to look like FPS at 25NL.
