Default Top 2 monotone flop blind battle 3/6

Villian in this hand is a 23/13/22 tag.

Folded to SB who raises to 22, I make it 66 with AKs in the BB.

Flop AK6 all diamonds, He checks, I bet 100 into the 132 pot. He goes all in for 600 more (I cover).

I play much smaller, but here goes...

With him having to call 1/15th his stack PF OOP, I wouldn't think a TAG is calling a SC (Td9d) or A6s, etc. My read on his range would be PP & maybe strong Aces. If this guy is not capable of pulling any stunts, and he's reraising AA, KK, AK, 66, then you have to fold.

If you can add AQd, then it's close, but still a fold. But if you think he's capable of doing this with hands like 77d to try to get you off your QQ or JJ or other higher PP, then it's a call (enjoy variance). I'm not really sure what players at these limits are capable of.

Hi,

I'm not very experienced in NL so keep that in mind.

Wouldn't he 4 bet with AA or KK?

Let's say he would, that means that only a flush or 66 beats you right now. Hands with the Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] might also play this way. AQ [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or KQ [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] are good candidates.

I would probably call believing he has a flush draw with maybe a pair. The only really likely hands that he might have and beat you are 66 or a flush but a flush might not play this way. And when he has it you still have some outs.

Thanks,

Guido

He is protecting his A6 or trying to push you out the hand.. call

How can he play a made flush in that way. if he has 66 well unlucky.

I call. There is enough stuff you beat, he could be pulling this with the naked Qd.

instacall. made flush wont often shove this hard at you. if he has a set, so be it.

i'm very rarely looking to fold top 2 on the flop in a blind battle.

definitely call.

You're often looking at AxQd/AxJd/KxQd here. I'm not giving credit for a flopped flush or set in blind battle.
