NL400 - Is this too aggressive?
I had just sat, so this hand was readless as my HUD stats hadn't popped up yet and I didn't recognize either villain.
Preflop isn't a 3bet that I always make, fwiw. I think maybe I was more inclined to here since there was a poster and I thought there was a decent chance the opener was raising light. In hindsight, a check behind on the flop (or turn, as played) might be better. I think one leak I have is balancing pot control with protection on drawy boards. Any thoughts on any part of the hand would be appreciated. I'd be inclined to check either the flop or the turn. I don't think you are going to get called by worse very often.

Re: NL400 - Is this too aggressive?
I don't think preflop is bad, but a read would be pretty sweet here which is a good reason to go slower on your first hand - meaning no 3 bet pre this time.
Average unknown is too loose-passive and slowplays too much, so I think check turn and value bet river if he checks is good, but the free card does suck a little. With the size of your flop bet it will be hard for draws to fold, but I'm more worried that he has a bigger hand already. I dunno though, people do love to call, so it's certainly a good line against a lot of opponents. |

Re: NL400 - Is this too aggressive?
I think PF is okay given that MP posted OOP.
I think once your flop bet is called you basically have to shut down as your only folding out KK on turn. AK never folds here and AQ could be slow playing and A10 is probably folding PF to a reraise. So check behind on turn and reeval on river though any decent bet is probably for value from AK/AQ. Does anyone think we can really be ahead here and we need to push this? |

Re: NL400 - Is this too aggressive?
looks fine to me other than the comment about 3-betting this with 1st hand. No way I check the turn here.
