Re: 25NL - TT MP Good Fold?
I fold this. You're not ahead of much. You wanna spend money on #2 pair against a guy who could have ATC? You have a bluff catcher.... a PSB river bet bluffer can usually have their way with me.
Some will say you induced the bluff with your turn check, so you must call the river. Frankly, I don't really agree with that alot. If villain ½ pots it,,, I might think about calling because of the inducement. But a PSB...... I'll pass. |

Re: 25NL - TT MP Good Fold?
Yeah I really don't think he has a jack, he might have played a set really weird, but I highly doubt that. I guess the only explanation was just a bad call on the flop with something like AK or AQ spades and got lucky. I would fold also, especially to that bet on the river even though it does seem a little bit fishy, Im not sure about it either.

Re: 25NL - TT MP Good Fold?
Why don't you just second barrel the turn? He could easily have been calling with an over or 2 overs. Meaby he's good enough to toss JT away (which I doubt) but giving up the hand on the turn looks a bit weak to me.
I like 2/3-3/4 potbet on the turn to likely get a free showdown (you have showdown value!) and folding to resistence. |

Re: 25NL - TT MP Good Fold?
By not betting on the turn you let him think that you were weak and maybe let him hit his flush if he was on a draw. Would of bet the turn and folded to a c/r because you can only beat a few hands he could have but by betting atleast you know more about were you stand.

Re: 25NL - TT MP Good Fold?
I don't mind the turn check. The board is dry except the runner runner spade draw. So there is a very good point in pot control. Villain is loose but not too aggressive. He likes betting better than calling though. But it's close. I think this is the damn bet pot-button again. I really hate this thing. Villains like this would normally stab at the pot with something like $2. If villain has a unpaired hand, he's got only a 1/3 chance to hit on the flop. So he isn't too likely to have that J. And he won't have a straight. Even a 2pair would require some VERY loose raising from UTG. A set is always possible, of course. Because I don't think that he thought a lot about the bet size, I call here. If he wanted a call with a set or something, he would bet differently. I expect to catch a bluff here more often than 1/3 of the time.
