Okay guys. I have an x/y hand. I would like to know what hands you would play like this, what my opponent's range is, also what kinds of hands you would call in the end as a bluff catcher, which you would raise for value, and what you would fold.

My read on my opponent is that he is loose and very aggressive. I can't think of what hand he could play like this.

Full Tilt Poker, $2 + $0.15 NL Hold'em Sit n' Go, 15/30 Blinds, 2 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

Hero (SB): 1,530
BB: 1,470

Pre-Flop: (45) (X,Y) dealt to Hero (SB)
Hero raises to 90, BB calls 60

Flop: (180) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 A (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets 300, BB calls 300

Turn: (780) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero checks

River: (780) 2 (2 Players)
BB bets 30, Hero folds

~ty!

On the flop your hand looks like something that was huge pf that doesn't want to get called, like a KK or QQ or something. Your opponent sniffed this out immediately and imo is range is any two here. You confirm this by not betting the turn.

The river is an interesting card, putting quads on board. Villain bets the river knowing that you don't like your hand and thinks he can take it down right there. I have villain on any two in this spot. If I were you, I would attempt a min-raise to find out exactly where you are in the hand and pick off a bluff from your opponent, but if you get played back at he actually does have the scary ace and you have to fold.

Also the bet's small enough that you can make a call for information here, this also serves good metagame purpose because your opponent will think you call him down way too loose and will try to value bet more. Establishing metagame is a very important part of HU play, especially at the stakes you are playing at.

Try to play your hand a little less transparently next time. I reccomend checking behind on the flop to create the image that you're trapping and trying to extract a bet on the turn. A lot of opponents like to bet after you check the flop, then you can raise and spring the "trap". Higher level thinking is almost as important as metagame at the $2.15s.

Man I think I don't know NL rules.

Your hand there is four of a kind deuces ace kicker right? Doesn't matter what hand you have neither what villain does. The nuts is on the board as far as I know the rules.

Let me know if I'm wrong.

I am trying to level my thinking on this game, and level the balance between me and my opposition. So, my question, how am I leveling? Because I really don't know.

Why would you ever fold that river?

If this is not a level, answer the question. If it is, screw you.

12 game win streak comes to an end on FTP.

I was thinking it would be more like 30-40 wins in a row the way I've ran there lately

Insane_Steve is leveling too, although he did a very admirable job of it. It took me a second read to catch the 5-of-a-kind threat.
