Default $100NL: Overpair facing heat from a donk on a tough board

Villain is an aggro maniac post flop.
76 vpip/aggression by street/8pfr/1.8/5.6/8.0/

hes check raised me on the flop a few times and ive folded, no big pots. Ive been aggressive but giving up early post flop against him.

Shorty is also a donk.

sticky spot,

Fold your flipping with overcard flush draw and dead to a set and you only have 4 invested. Really don't get the 70 bet. If anything push.

You don't beat much after the turn, as played I try and check this down.

$5 preflop. Fold flop. Sets, straights, a combo draw with 12-15 outs are all likely. At best u are up against JJ and 77. As played check the damn turn.

I don't like flop mini raise. Either play for stacks or fold the flop.

Based on the OP read, I would shove the flop.

What was the plan with the raise to $70?

The raise to $70?

Basically i was almost certain Villain would shove or fold. He seemed to bet everything in the hands i had noted.

Also, i cant see many hands other than the nuts perhaps just calling my raise, draws are getting odds sure, but if they just call the pot will be so big that folding on the turn to a bet would suck.

So i didnt have a problem with the bet size really, although i dont have a problem with making a bigger raise either.

Just shove flop so you don't have to worry about a turn decision like this one...
