Default Yo STTF mods...

Check out the thread I moved here about an online ICM calc some guy made...

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...=0#Post12169980

His thread was basically just spam, but I think our policy for this type of thing before has been we won't allow them to advertise in the forum, but we'll add a link to the Tools sticky, right?

What do you guys think the best course of action is here? Fwiw, I visited the site and it seems legit.

We've never had a good and consistent policy. We have the Tools sticky where we link stuff. But, we seem to pick and choose what we add with no real criteria.

Obviously tools like SNGPT was promoted because of what EastBay gave the the STTF community. However, most of these guys have very few post and don't really contribute anything.

As a result of not handling this consistently, I have no idea how to handle it when we get a guy like Qubit come along. It really is spam in the way he went about it, but if it's a working ICM calculator why shouldn't it be in the sticky along with all the others?

Edit: having looked at his webpage he is basically advertising that he is ripping off SNGPT by saying it is exactly the same.

I'm going to treat this account as a spammer and act accordingly.
