Default 50NL Another extraction Question - Flopped set

Villain is 15/7/2.1 over 214

I'm 15/11/3.2

I figured villain was betting out on the flop to guard against the flush/straight draw. I thought seriously about raising him but didnt want a fold so called hoping the turn wouldn't give a poss flush. It didn't and I possibly got an extra bet out of him. I then pushed hoping that he though I missed and was making a move on him?

Good, bad or indifferent?

Any reads on his bet sizes? That's a fairly weak on a drawy board and a weak turn bet.

He cold called the PFR getting solid odds and position, so his range is wider here. Could be 55 I suppose, but more likely QK/KJ type weakish one pair hand that isn't sure where he's at, but has top pair and still bets.

Not sure what would call the CR other than KK/55 or like AhTh?

Bet the flop! I say it again. Bet the flop!

You have a monster here, just bet. You slowplay it and someone is bound to draw on you.

In a limit forum there is this nice picture about a kitten that is killed everytime a set is slowplayed, we should start posting it here too.

Besides, these questions like just flop a set or a boat or quads, how do I extract the maximum, are really boring, just bet them out, it is very hard to play them wrong if you bet them.

Raise the flop. I think betting into the pfr is pretty damn bad here. He's going to rep AK pretty much always and you can catch callers in between with your raise. Check/raising the turn against this type of player is going to get him to fold alot.

I don't think betting out quads is necessarily a good idea.

With only one player left behind me, I'm betting this flop 99% of the time. The risk that it will get checked around is just too great. When CO checks behind and the Queen of hearts hits on the turn you're not going to be a happy camper.

Umm, did I misread the action or what?

Why did you check the flop? You couldn't expect a bet from CO because he only called a PF raise. He's the only player behind you. By checking don't you give a free card to 4 players a lot of the time? While your hand is basically the nuts here, a heart a J or a Q can be pretty bad for you on the turn.

Or did you know that CO will bet?
