Default NL10: I make trips with junk, easy fold?

Villain is 36/0 after 12 hands. This is an easy laydown, right?

Note: Don't chastise me from the flop call. I knew it was dumb the moment I clicked call.

Call I think. He could have Q8, J8, 98, T7, 99, JJ+, etc. Who knows. I think you are ahead of his range. I would fold J8 down (depending on villain) probably.

Maybe I am way off but I don't think this is an easy laydown. I think villian might overvalue 2 pair w/ace kicker in this spot and more likely another 8 with worse kicker since u have the king. I'd like to see more replies to this cause I am calling here.

Fold. He's not playing an overpair like that - flat-calling the flop and then pushing the turn (unless he's a complete donk. He either has trips, a full house, or a straight here, and there's only one 8 left in the deck. You'll almost always see 77, TT, or 96, or J9 here. You're getting terrible odds to call.

I see this all the time at NL10.

Players make a monster hand and spring it on you with a donkshove.

Fold, man. Fold.

It's rough, but I think it's a fold. Turn raises usually mean super strength. Granted you have a good hand, but unfortunately I don't feel like it's good enough. I've seen a lot of people donk bet straight/flush draws on flops, it's nothing unusual so it's very likely he hit that straight.

Call. 36/0 -- he is a donk who won't even raise AA sometimes pf. You beat a whole bunch of 8x hands too.

Doesn't look like he wants a call, either.

You'd be surprised, I've done the exact same thing if I put my opponent on a big hand. Like you said, the things that people do at these limits is ridiculous, so I wouldn't be surprised if we called this and he shows a winning hand.

Call 50% of the time and fold 50% of the time to vary your play.
