Default Atlantic City Live Tournament #2 - Two Hands

Live tournament at the Tropicana in Atlantic City. $100 Buy In

Hand #1:
Blinds: 200/400 with 50 ante.

Hero has around t10k and is BB.

Folds around
MP1 calls
CO calls
SB folds
Hero calls with 5c5d

Flop: 9s 9h 4d

Hero bets 800

MP1 pushes all in for about 3,250
CO folds

Hero??

Villian is a donk, he has shown down hands like 45o after calling decent preflop raises he could literally have limped with any hand.

Hand #2:
Later in tournament, blinds are 400/800 with 100 ante

Hero has about t13.5k and just split a pot with AA vs AA

UTG calls
Folds around to MP3 who raises to 2400
Folds to Hero in BB with KcJc who calls
UTG calls

Flop: Kh 5d 4c

Hero checks
UTG goes all in for his remaining about t5k-t6k
MP3 folds
Hero???

We had all just moved tables and I didn't have a lot of information on the villian. He was to my immediate left and with the blinds increasing he was complaining about not getting any cards for a long time.

Hand 1:

Preflop you have 2 possibilities:

1.) call, look for a set - if you don't hit it you are mostly done with the hand
2.) raise to win the pot immediataly or get at least HU

as played the flop is quite fine for you, but your PP is low, so I would just check and see what happens.

Hand 2:

This is a very easy fold preflop - you don't want to play a mediocre hand oop, against a MP raiser with UTG still acting behind you.

as played you get too good odds for folding TP, so you have to call, but i don't like it.
