funny sayings by my wife
Background
My wife is from Hong Kong and she has lived in Canada for the last 20+ years. Her english is fair, but when she is tired and she is talking to me, she will often 1)string all the (required) words of a sentance together in a jumbled order ... or 2)make up words to replace the word that she doesn't know. in the first case the meaning is sometimes the opposite of what she means to say, but mostly for both cases the meaning is just totally jumbled. This has been going on for as long as I have known her and has made me laugh a LOT, but recently I thought I should start writing some of them down (I have collected 50 so far). So for the next month or so I will be posting one of my wife's sayings.. once per day on weekdays.. and I will post the meaning in the next day's post. (if the previous one needed explaining) |

Re: funny sayings by my wife
I always got a laugh out of my Ukrainian ex saying "fishself" instead of "selfish".
