Default Coming Over From NL, Need Some Help

Okay so in a few months I'm going on a cruise ship. The game of choice they offer is 5/10. I've played 5/10 on a cruise ship before and the play was terribly loose and passive. The problem is that I'm not a limit holdem player at all so I wasn't terribly successful in the game. I'm sure i could kill this game with a decent understanding of the game. I'm currently playing .05/.10 on stars but i'm not sure how much that can actually help as the play is super weak. reading the following and also spending a lot of time in this forum.

Reread ToP
SSHE
Winning Low Limit Hold'em
Hold'em on the come

Any other suggestions? Are either of these books not neccesasry? I think a solid grounding in limit will help me improve in all games which is good because i'm getting pretty sick of NL. Anyone think it's feasible to have a decent understanding by the end of december and be able to beat this game?

P.S. The rake is pretty bad on the cruise ship. 10% up to $10.00. Like I said though, i've played in this game before and the play is similar to 2/4 in a casino.

Learn value betting more than anything, stop bluffing and trapping plays against most players and understand that draws happen a lot more in limit than nl so don't fall in love with your top pair.

Obviously with that rake you have to play as few hands as possible which is ok for most NLers but frustrating at the same time because they can't protect their hands nearly as much.

Patience is key and expect a lot of bad beats.

I played in this exact game on a 2 week cruise in April. We played w/ basically the same 10 people every night and the game was typically UBER PASSIVE and loose. If you are decent at all at NL (or even tiddly-winks ) you will most likely crush the game. There was 3 nights that they planned on playing NL, but half the people did not want to play so we went back to 5/10. I for one wanted to play NL cuz even though my NL game was far worse than my limit game (and still is), these players would just donate like crazy playing NL.

Yes, the rake is redic, but what are ya gonna do. The players should make up for it though.

BTW, try to get a game going as fast as you can! Me and 3 others played 4 handed for about 1 hour the first night just to attract attention and get some more players. The next 13 nights we had rarely any trouble getting the table eventually going but typically not until ~10pm.
