200NL 4 betting light, welcome to bizarro world
200NL 6-handed, 115BB deep:
Villain is a regular seems decent, running at 21/15/5,6. He has been reraising a lot, specially from the blinds, folds blinds to steal only about 70 % of the time. I have been folding to his 3bets 3 times in a row so I finally decided to take a stand with my trash hand. When he called my 4bet I put him on AA, KK and VERY doubtfully QQ or AK. I really doubt he calls 4bets OOP with those hands. My image is TAG, first time I 4bet so he should show me respect. Here comes the hand. Hero raises to 7 from CO with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Button folds, SB reraises to 22, BB folds. Hero reraises to 68, SB CALLS. Flop: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Pot is 138 Check, check. Turn: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Check, Check. River: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villain bets 85. Hero?? I have 170 left on the river. I would like comment on every street but comments like fold preflop is not appreciated. |

I definitely call here, and probably push into him. If he had aces, oh well.

[ QUOTE ]
When he called my 4bet I put him on AA, KK and VERY doubtfully QQ or AK. [/ QUOTE ] If this is the range you put him on then a call looks in order to me. Personally I would discount AA (tries to get it in PF) and weight AK higher, and would therefore raise this river. |

I definitely call here [/ QUOTE ] ... and why would you 4-bet preflop and then check every street? His range for betting on the river is like any two right? |

his line post flop can be aces. I don't see any reason why he'd check any pair on the turn besides aces (discounting 44/55). I think this is a value bet from a poorly played AK/AQ hand.

check on flop and turn is fine for pot control. i would just call the river with the range you put him on in mind. When you take AK into account i would shove river.

Flop is fine, Turn is fine. River is an easy push. Theres really no hands to be worried about. Most of the time he will AK which he will not fold.

I think he has a big A here and would push the river.

Dont see him having AK or AQ here often at all, would think he would have bet the turn if not the flop.
Still could have AA but looks more like KK-QQ/worse to me. I do hate preflop totally though, we have position use it, call more if he reraising loads and play with position rather than taking a trash hand and getting a big pot like here, would have preferred you doing it with suited connectors or the like cos when he calls pre flop we are in big likely dominated trouble. |

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 95.238% 95.24% 00.00% 20 0.00 { Ah8s } Hand 1: 04.762% 04.76% 00.00% 1 0.00 { QQ+, AKs, AKo } This is a clear raise, i reckon wait for the time to get down to 2 seconds left and min raise, hope he calls with qq/kk. |
