I'll be playing the PLO8 event. I've never played live pot-limit poker before. Can I just announce, "I bet the pot" or "I raise the pot" and then let the dealer figure out the amount of the bet? Or do I actually have to pay attention to the growing size of the pot and announce the correct size of my bet? I feel lost without a "bet pot" button or at least a little slider bar I can click.

Yes, this is what they do in the previous PLO Events.

I should be landing in Vegas around July 5th this year I think, to take down "the big dance"

Good luck to all. I'll be down there, but I doubt I'll be playing in the tournaments. Come on down to the Wynn and let's get a 20-40 half kill game goin.

i'm playing the plo8 and one of the limit o8s; haven't decided which one yet.

also i think it'd be awesome to get a 2/5 or 5/10 plo/plo8 mix going sometime. I'll be there most of the series.

In my experience casinos get competent (i.e. the better) dealers to deal PLO games, and they track the pot well. Except for a couple bad dealers here and there, every cash game I've been in, the second you say "pot" the dealer says "120" or whatever it is.

The PLO tourney I played last year was fine, but a lot of the dealers dealing the series events aren't as good as those who'd be dealing a PLO cash game, so between pot tracking and split pots and 1/4ths 3/4ths I imagine the game will be slowwwww.

I played the Pot Limit O8 event at the Taj back in November, ($340 buy-in) and the dealers were surprisingly competent for the most part. We helped along the few that weren't and it went pretty well. That was just for a 144-person $340 buy at the Trump Classic. I can't imagine the dealers at the WSOP would have any trouble at all.

What casino?? Let's throw in Badugi in there for S+G... And there is usually LO8 going at the Wynn and Bellagio? I'm planning to play 10/20 or 20/40. How about Mixed Games? (5/10ish)
